Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories is a full 3D remake of the original Game Boy Advance title Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. It serves as a narrative bridge between Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II, deepening the story while introducing new gameplay systems. The game follows protagonist Sora as he explores the mysterious Castle Oblivion, a place where he begins to lose his memories the deeper he ventures inside.

Unlike the first Kingdom Hearts game, which features real-time action combat, Re:Chain of Memories uses a real-time card-based battle system, blending action and strategy in a unique and complex way. The remake adds fully 3D visuals, voice acting, and updated cutscenes to enhance the experience for PlayStation 2 players.
