Introduction

Kingdom Hearts II is an action role-playing game developed by Square Enix and released exclusively for the PlayStation 2 in 2005 (Japan) and 2006 (internationally).

It is the direct sequel to the original Kingdom Hearts and continues the unique crossover between characters from Disney and Final Fantasy, blended into an original story universe.

Story Overview

The game opens with a mysterious prologue where players control Roxas, a boy living in Twilight Town who has strange dreams and a hidden connection to Sora.

This opening chapter gradually unravels the mystery behind Roxas’s identity and his link to the events of the first game.

Once Sora awakens from a long magical sleep (after the events of Chain of Memories), he resumes his journey with his loyal companions, Donald Duck and Goofy.

Their mission: defeat creatures known as Heartless, investigate the enigmatic Organization XIII, and find their missing friends.
