Introduction

Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City (GTA Liberty City Stories) Stories is an open-world action-adventure game developed by Rockstar Leeds in collaboration with Rockstar North, and published by Rockstar Games.

Originally released for the PlayStation Portable (PSP) in 2005, it was later ported to the PlayStation 2 in 2006

This title marks a return to Liberty City, the setting of Grand Theft Auto III, but it serves as a prequel, set in 1998, three years before the events of GTA III.

Story Overview

You play as Antonio “Toni” Cipriani, a made man in the Leone crime family.

Toni returns to Liberty City after laying low for a few years due to a hit he carried out. Upon his return, he finds that things have changed: his influence is gone, the Leone family is under pressure, and Toni has to prove his loyalty and power all over again.

His story is about rising through the criminal underworld, dealing with rival gangs, corrupt officials, and personal conflicts — especially with his domineering mother, who constantly criticizes him for not being “man enough.”
