Dynasty Warriors 6 is the sixth main entry in the long-running Dynasty Warriors series, based on the historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms by Luo Guanzhong. Set in Ancient China during the late Han Dynasty and the Three Kingdoms era, the game places players in the middle of massive battles where they control legendary warriors fighting to unify or dominate China.

This installment revamps the traditional Dynasty Warriors formula with a new combat engine, visual style, and character move sets. Although the PS2 version is a downgraded port from the more powerful consoles, it retains the core gameplay and many of the new features.
