Ar Tonelico II: Melody of Metafalica is a Japanese role-playing game (JRPG) developed by Gust and published by Banpresto (Japan) and NIS America (North America). It was released for the PlayStation 2 in 2007 in Japan and in 2009 in North America. It is the second game in the Ar Tonelico series, following Ar Tonelico: Melody of Elemia. The game combines traditional turn-based combat, visual novel-style storytelling, and unique music-based mechanics to deliver a deeply emotional and character-driven narrative.
